Computer Repair & Maintenance
My first computer was a Commodore 64, back in 1985. I've never 'not' had a computer in my life. There always seemed to be a computer or video game console in the house as far back as I could remember, my dad would always bring electronic stuff in the house that was so new, none of my friends had ever seen it before.
Since there was no way to escape my eventual fascination with them as well, I was in computer camp in grade school, computer club in Jr. high, self-taught geek in high school,... then in 2003 I went to Long Beach CA for Computer Repair & Maintenance class and then passed the Exam for CompTIA's A+ Certification. It's a lifetime certification that says that no matter how much computers evolve over time, I should always have the basic skills to troubleshoot and repair any broken computer. I've been a Microsoft Registered Partner since about 2006, and stay current on computer industry's rapid evolution.

In 2006, a couple computer geek-friends and myself started a little repair company named eTeam Computers, and took out ads in the Tucson Weekly and Desert Leaf publications in town for 'nights-and-weekend' repairs, tutoring, etc. The calls we're hit-and-miss at best, and after a couple years the group eventually lost interest. Lately, I've become a 'last-resort' emergency tech for friends, family and the property management company I work for... I've been spending more time on solar power projects, websites and developing clean energy solutions to help save the planet, however I'll still fix a computer if someone needs the help.
So, If are in desperate need of help, for $75/hour I'm available at nights & weekends for in-home repairs, diagnosis, new builds, networking, upgrades, operating system issues, operating system installations (windows & linux), general computing advice, tutoring, etc. Send me a note using the box below for assistance if you need it.. Thanks for your time, John Hiserman. |
